Oh, how babies hate tummy time. Or perhaps your baby loves tummy time…or loves to hate tummy time. Either way, it’s a must-do for babies and my own little one is reaching that tummy time point. She likes it for a few minutes and then…WAH!! And so the story goes…but think about it pushing yourself up from a flat position is actually really hard work. It’s like when you do Yoga and pushing yourself into “Cobra” position. It’s a huge push up and exerts a lot of energy. Which is also why a lot of babies get really tired doing tummy time and will act fussy while doing it or fall asleep right after. However, tummy time is necessary to develop muscles in their backs, necks, shoulders and arms. Can you imagine how much of a noodle they would be if we didn’t exercise those muscles? Spending the day in a car seat, bouncer, swing and flat on the ground isn’t enough exercise of those muscles that will eventually get them to turn-over, crawl and walk.
Peg Perego is most popularly known for its Primo Viaggio Infant Car Seat. They are now entering into the world of convertible car seats. They have come up with the Primo Viaggio 5-70 Convertible Car seat. It will grow with your child from five to seventy pounds. I had a chance to check out the Primo Viaggio car seat up close and personal and must say there are quite a few features you may like.
Stokke is Norway’s top of the line baby product company. They are probably known for their Xplory, a celebrity style stroller. Stokke is constantly making products designed to encourage child development and strengthen the bond between parent and child. I believe it is in the child’s best interest to be as close to their parents while being in a safe and secure environment where they can learn and grow. With this type of thinking, Stokke applied their knowledge into the world of baby carriers. They have developed the Stokke MyCarrier which is a top-of-the-line baby carrier that is versatile and sporty for the modern family.
Here we have the Peg Perego Siesta, their most recently launched high chair. Like their popular Tatamia, the Siesta is very versatile but comes in at around $50 cheaper since it does not have their manual swing feature. The Siesta is still loaded with features that make this an excellent chair for a new born up to around three years old. Continue reading to see what my favorite features about the Peg Prerego Siesta are.
The summer vacation season has arrived and many people are taking the kids along for a road trip. One of the first things that comes to mind when traveling especially if you have a baby is “where is my little one going to rest his head?” Honestly in my opinion I really would not trust hotels and resorts to provide a baby sleeping area. I mean do you know who assembled it, what kind of quality the area is, and how clean is it? Personally I would not take that risk with my baby. Since using provided cribs from hotels and resorts can be so unpredictable, and it is a must to have your baby have their own space to sleep, it is highly recommended that you bring your own bed for your precious baby.
With the wildly popular Britax B-Ready stroller doing so well it would be hard to imagine there being much room left for improvement. Somehow Britax was able to improve on their B-Ready stroller design. Britax took well to the consumer comments and changed a few things. As the saying goes, you win some, and you lose some. The same thing goes when you are buying baby products. I have made some idiotic choices when it comes to buying baby gear, but the Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat is not one of them. The seat has many features that I love. If I could stay with my baby 24/7 to be able to breast feed him I would. But I live in the real world and always being available to breast feed just isn’t possible. Fortunately Medela realized this and created the Medela Black Pump In Style breast milk pump. I have tried several breast pumps and I currently like the Medela In Style Pump. So you guessed it, this review will be on the Medela Black Pump In Style breast pump.
As much as I always want to hold my baby sometimes I am just too preoccupied to do so. Luckily Fisher-Price has come up with the perfect solution. I will be reviewing the Fisher-Price Papasan Cradle Swing, more specifically the Starlight model. I received this product as a gift during my baby shower. At first I wasn’t so sure about using it but once I gave it a try I am so glad that I did.
